Owner, Jim McIlrath, retired from the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2017. As an ordained Minister of 40 years, Jim still preaches every Sunday as a Retired supply pastor at Taylors United Methodist Church in Brunswick, GA. He started renewing docks as a hobby a year or so into his retirement.  His successful little hobby quickly grew into Dock Dynasty, located at 7088 New Jesup Rd. Hwy. 341 N., Brunswick, GA 31520. Jim works with a loyal crew and the DNR to write and obtain permits, design new docks or fix old ones. Dock Dynasty's workers are committed to solid workmanship you can trust.  

Jim is married to Debbie, a retired music educator, his sweetheart and best friend of 48 years. They have three grown, married children with six grandchildren and a chihuahua named Little Bit.
